I really adore my pets, but this morning they are being terrible!

Kopi woke me up at 3:30 a.m. standing on my nightstand pushing everything he could into to floor. Now he is like a dog with a bone. He INSISTS upon sitting on my lap. I have been trying to do some work and it is not easy with a cat glued to you or laying on the keyboard. I have gently placed him on the floor only to have him bounce right back on the bed purring. Within a minute he is on my lap. I guess I simply need to put aside the work and give him some attention.

Twizzler... if I could read dog minds. I have no clue what he wants. He's just been whining all morning. I took him outside and he pottied. About 5 minutes later, he was whining again, so I fed him. He seemed happy for about 10 minutes and started whining again. He is currently in the yard. It isn't hot or raining this morning so he's staying out there until he whines to come back.

If Twizzler and Kopi were friends (which is getting better and better) they might hang out and soothe each other. 😂

It was a really nutsy week at work. Lead counsel decided that, six weeks into discovery, she was going to completely upend the protocol we have been using and institute a new protocol. We were left in the dark for most of the day on Thursday. Of course, not knowing what exactly what we were looking for made everyone feel edgy and tensions ran high. It is weird not being my own boss. At least I can say "I just work here" and not stress about it when I get home. Then, yesterday, I had to completely switch hats and try my first custody case in months. Honestly, it felt good to be in a courtroom again. I think I will make sure I keep a few litigation cases. I don't think I would mind court as much if it wasn't a daily thing. I guess I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. On another note, I have submitted my applications for MBA programs at both Auburn and Alabama. Hey, I guess I figure when you aren't sure you know what you want to do with the rest of your life, go back to school, not that I need yet another degree. LOL.
